Keep it simple. Translate complicated ideas, processes, or technologies into plain language. Use examples, metaphors, and analogies to reinforce your meaning. I have a favorite metaphor I use in my training (with credit to one of my clients): “when they ask you what time it is, don’t tell them how a watch works!”
